ligature spotlight : edge paint engraving invitations

Amanda and Rob were married this weekend in Hawaii! Their invitations are a part of the Ligature collection and it was a beautiful feat of production and design to develop these for their wedding.

The calligraphy is engraved in white ink on the chocolate grey paper and it is edge painted in the coral orange color that matches the envelope lining and rsvp envelope. The beauty of engraved calligraphy is that it feels like each one was handwritten, the raised lettering is so similar to what it’s like once the ink dries on an addressed envelope.

I really like the red accent with the gray. For some reason, it makes me happy to see those colors together. Nice.
