So I’m embracing the garment rack concept for now and found some great inspirational images for how this can still look neat and serene.

I’ve thought about building one of these myself a lot like the third one but the cost of metal pipe is surprisingly high. I came up with a design that uses wooden supports and a single metal horizontal pipe to hold as many heavy shirts and jackets as I can put on it without bowing the way a wooden dowel would.
This post was just the inspiration I needed. About to move into a dreamy Brooklyn brownstone myself — with 1 small closet in the entire apartment. Definitely learning to love the exposed closet concept…
