Lotte Geeven sent 1000+ paper birds, cut from issues of the New York Times, flying into the air in Manhattan, 2006. Great image.

    Wait… so she threw trash into the river? I mean, I know it’s reclaimed trash and it’s art and all, but… it’s still litter. Right? Great for the image; bad for the neighborhood
