Photographer Adrien Broom dreamed up a project called Where did All the Colors Go? It’s recently been backed on Kickstarter and I’m looking forward to watching it unfold.
Shot as still photography and simultaneously as a short video piece, Broom plans to make a children’s book out of the images and concept. A darling little girl wakes up to a world void of color where everything is white. Bunnies, onions, frosting, clouds, snow. It’s not just that everything is white, it’s that there are only white things.
She then finds a doorway that leads to red, a brick road, roosters, red velvet cakes…and on it goes as the world of color opens up to her.
Enjoy this video teaser below and follow on Adrien’s website for more images as they are completed. Each set takes a month to build and develop.

A dear friend and super talented lady, Susa Talan, just launched her new site, susatalan.com. It is art, illustration and a magical series of daily drawings, 365 Days of Gratitude.
Every day, Susa draws and shares a quote and illustration, some of my favorites are pictured here. It provides a beautiful, serene moment for the recipient and I love her choices in quotes. You can follow online or Facebook. Many of these illustrations are available as prints on Susa’s Etsy shop.
Congrats Susa! So excited to see more of your work every day.

A new exhibit of Bill Brandt‘s photography opened last week at MoMA, titled “Shadow & Light” and runs until August 16. Eagerly awaiting a chance to go see it. Browse the collection gallery for more images. You can see that I had a hard time selecting just a few…

I’ve featured Aakash Nihalani‘s work with tape before. This is a newer project, Sum Times, that is clever and pleasing to see.
