Very happy to have Paperfinger recognized The Knot‘s editors as a 2013 Best of Weddings Winner for calligraphers in outer boroughs New York City. And an editor’s pick no less! Woot!

I love the latest work from Bario Neal, the Philly-based jewelry design studio. All of their pieces are made from reclaimed precious metals and ethically sourced stones.
They have an online shop full of beautiful wedding bands, engagement rings, earrings, bracelets and pendants. They are also available for custom work.
Above, enamel bracelet in yellow gold, $315.
Below, sapphire slice earrings, $500. Senna round ring with rough diamond, $740. Narrow band with diamond, $390. Herringbone pendant, $64. Boma hoops, $104.

New Ketubah just launched with a fresh site and some beautiful and cool new offerings.
I love Tsilli’s work–she brings a modern aesthetic to her ketubah designs but with some classy handmade elements, like stitching, polaroids or unique personalization. This design, In the Stars, is my favorite from the Classic Collection, but you should definitely explore the others. Not to mention, Tsilli is an awesome lady all around and runs Portland, Oregon’s Creative Mornings chapter.

Waimea Plantation Cottages are located on Kauai’s southwestern shore, beautifully situated just outside the tiny town of Waimea.
We spent a couple nights here on our trip last week. …sigh….such a sweet spot. Each cottage is unique, decorated with simple furnishings, incorporating some gorgeous vintage Hawaiian fabrics. Quiet whirring ceiling fans, airy kitchens, a claw foot tub. It’s semi-luxe but also really homey. And a great base for our time exploring Waimea Canyon and some western beaches.
Forgive the music on their website and have a closer look: waimeaplantation.com. The beach isn’t swimmable but there’s a nice pool overlooking the Pacific. The first six pictures are mine, the rest courtesy of Waimea’s site.

It’s always fun to see my work laid out at the event, a scene I don’t get to see until the photos are back.
Here’s the sea of pink watercolor escort cards that we hand painted and then calligraphed for a wedding this January, planned and designed by Eyal of Tessler Events, with Lewis Miller Design on florals, shot by Ira Lippke.

This Paperfinger menu was featured in the current issue of Rue Magazine. The story, “Magic in the Secret Garden,” was directed and styled by Lavender Joy Weddings (thanks Stefanie!) and shot by Ryan Ray. Florals by Bows & Arrows, dinnerware from Greta Bean. I’m so happy with how it all came together.
Read the full issue here in all it’s prettiness or skip straight to page 68 for our garden story.
